There is an incredible website for all things kids in Steamboat Springs. DLC parent Daniella Place has created Kids In Town (KIT) as an easy go-to resource for kid friendly events & activities. The site includes calendars of events for children of all ages, family favorite activities in the area and concierge trip planning for your visiting friends & family.
The site also features an interactive chatbot where you can ask questions about your specific needs. For example we asked “what to do with a 4.5 year old who has lots of energy, loves to swim (but won’t put her head underwater) and ride her bike; doesn’t have any siblings and wants to play with others.” In response, we got tons of suggestions of activities and fun things to do where other children are likely to be, including a tip about the Farmer’s Market having a children’s tent, which we didn’t know!
