There's a saying in Steamboat- a place known for producing more winter Olympians than anywhere else in the US- "It takes a village to raise Olympians." At Family Development Center we know it takes a village to raise good humans; that's why we are proud to be the only organization in the Yampa Valley dedicated to serving children and families from birth through Kindergarten.

While our staff of villagers help parents, children and families, it's YOU that make up our village that support our efforts. It's community village that shows up during our annual fundraisers to help raise money supporting programming, scholarships, professional development and more.

It only happens once a year and it's live now! Don't miss our annual online auction featuring a treasure trove of items from annual Old Town Hot Springs Family Membership to local gift certificates and products to fishing trips and a Grand Lake Getaway.

Pickleball Tournament, March 14, 2026
Serve up some fun for a cause benefiting Family Development Center’s Pickleball Tournament, a family-friendly fundraiser that brings together players of all levels to support early childhood education and parent support programs. Held at the local pickleball courts, this lively event features round-robin play, friendly competition, and plenty of court-side camaraderie, all benefiting the children and families served by Family Development Center.

Registration is now open, limited to 100 players. To register you'll need an account with Steamboat Tennis & Pickleball Center. Once logged into your account select Pickleball Charity Shootout Series or go to the Calendar for March 14. You can register in either of these locations at level 1, 2, or 3.
