Child Care Network's Mission

Child Care Network's mission is to provide services and programs that make child care work for families and communities. Quality, availability, and affordability of child care are the three essential elements of a responsive and growing child care system.

  • Updated profile in our statewide database that can be accessed online by families searching for child care. If and when you have any openings within your program let Sharon know at 879-7330, or reach out via our contact form, so we may direct families to you when they are searching for care.
  • Training and technical assistance to set up licensed child care businesses. There are also available and reimbursable start-up dollars for new or expanding programs and family child care homes when infants and/or toddlers are able to be served.
  • On-going technical assistance. Licensed providers and prospective child care providers may contact us for support. For questions around family child care homes and infant-toddler care, contact Sharon at 879-7330, or reach out via our contact form. Child care center questions should be addressed to Tami, 879-5973 x11 or submitted through our contact form.
  • Providing or dispersing information about available professional development opportunities.
  • All licensed child care providers are automatically added to our email lists. As local training opportunities arise, we will email you that information.

  • This toolkit provides the business sector with resources and knowledge to enhance Colorado’s early childhood environment while supporting its working families.
  • Conducting needs assessments or a 15-minute survey to assess your family-friendly workplace
  • Developed in partnership with Colorado's Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), this toolkit provides the most up-to-date information available on family-friendly workplace policies and practices. It is available in print and online and includes examples of employer best practices to support working families. The Toolkit is divided into 4 sections: Getting Started; Core Benefits; Need Statement; and Resource Guide. For more information or to request printed copies, contact the CDPHE at the button below.

Confidentiality Policy 

The principle of confidentiality is maintained in all programs, departments, functions and activities. The very fact that an individual is served by this nonprofit will be kept private and confidential. 

Disclaimer 

Please keep in mind that the Family Development Center's Child Care Network can not recommend one child care provider over another. We list any child care provider who has a license in good standing, but licensing is done by the Colorado Department of Human Services, not by us. We do not do any monitoring of the quality of care provided, and it is very important that you, as the parent, carefully interview and visit each provider before making a decision.

Who Can Use It? 

  • Anyone with a need for information or referral to a social service agency or child care is welcome to use the Network. We also welcome questions from other agencies and organizations in our county. 

How Much Does It Cost? 

  • Our child care referral services are free for families. Fee schedules for other services are available on request.

A Commitment to Serve

Child Care Network is the child care resource and referral agency Routt County. The Family Development Center's Child Care Network promotes licensed and quality child care that is affordable and available to all families in Routt County. We provide information, resources, referrals, training and advocacy for child care and other children's issues and programs. Services are developed for child care professionals, employers, agencies and organizations.
